Nothing like getting creative to furnish an unfurnished home on a budget (or complete lack thereof):

A brand new rope-rug made from not-so-new rope is now lessening the amount of snow we are tracking into my new home on Stormy Circle. Notice the table cloth. The Spiderman himself (you know who you are) gave me a Spiderman blankie for the house, but Bailey liked it so much that I gave it to her.

We spent the night in Independence, MO, and awoke to a bashed-out rear window. Someone had a very happy belated Christmas and is now wearing all of my clothes, using my avalanche and climbing gear in the land of no mountains, and painting ugly pictures with Catherine Campbell's art supplies. And feeding Bailey's dog food to their dog.

Abby and I couldn't help but think hmm, if we weren't a target already in an SUV filled with skis and wrapped Christmas presents, surely we were now with an orange zebra blanket flapping in the window on I-70.
