-4℉

Our first deep freeze hit the valley this week: yesterday the high was about 3℉, last night it was -4℉, and today won't get above 6℉. It's a bit more comfortable than the -25℉ snaps we're bound to see at least once or twice a winter, but it's plenty cold to keep Bailey on the couch and me looking like I stepped out of A Christmas Story every time I leave the house.

Though I've seen enough deep freezes to maybe consider myself a Jackson local, I have never seen this:
Bye bye, my only BPA-free water bottle. Death came upon it in my car last night.

I ran inside to tell Bailey, but she couldn't be bothered. She's embracing the Thanksgiving holiday.
Snuggle Bunny.
Happy Thanksgiving to the fam at home. I love & miss yall!

Some Flattering Press.

Aperture Jackson Hole featured me as the guest photographer this week. Check it out!

Inverted.

We've been trapped in the dreamlike state induced by days on end where the sun doesn't shine. Sparkling frost, low fog, and the color gray surrounds us.
Yesterday though, I remembered that all one has to do for that dose of vitamin D is drive to the top of Teton Pass. It felt so good - sweet sunshine, blue sky, and the cloud blanket below and behind me...at least for a couple of hours.
Hard to believe this is the same place. It seems the Indian summer is still hanging on up high.
